Spicy Trout

Ingredients
  • 4 medium sized trout filets
  • 1 bottle of Franks Red Hot
  • Olive oil
  • Italian seasoning (in a bottle is fine)
  • Salt and pepper
Directions
  1. In a deep plate, combine about 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a couple shakes of Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt and pepper for taste, and about ¼ cup of Franks Red Hot….mix well.

  2. Take a fork and stab the trout filets all over. Then take the trout and place each one individually in your Franks Red Hot sauce mixture, making sure both sides are coated well.

  3. Cover and Refrigerate for about 15 minutes. While the fish is marinating, pre-heat your grill and make sure the grates are clean. Take a piece of tin foil and make a boat large enough to place all 4 pieces of trout on. Remove fish from marinade and don’t forgert to save some the rest of the Franks Red Hot marinade off to the side.

  4. Take the trout out of the frig and place the filets on your homemade tin foil boat. Place the boat on your grill and cover. Cook for about 5 to 7 mins on each side or until trout filets are fully cooked all the way through. Don’t forget to brush a little of your Franks Red Hot sauce on each side as you rotate.

  5. Serve and enjoy!

    Note: **This recipe can apply to any type of flakey fish.

Doug’s BBQ Tips:

Grillin’ Tip:  When grilling veggies, like zucchini, squash, peppers, eggplant, ect., keep the grill lip open at all times. If you close the lid, moisture will build up and make your veggies lose their crisp. Don’t forget to rotate often so that each side doesn’t burn.
